KidsKonnectUkraine (KKU) is committed to empowering young people in Ukraine and the United States through cross-cultural education, global connection, and hope-driven leadership development. Through programs like Venture Camp Ukraine focusing on entrepreneurship and international virtual exchanges, KKU supports over 3,000 youth in building skills, confidence, and pathways for their future.
At the center of this work is a belief that Ukrainian youth must have a voice in shaping the programs designed for them.

To ensure youth perspectives remain central, KKU is launching its inaugural Youth Advisory Team (YAT).

The KidsKonnectUkraine Youth Advisory Team is a cohort of 10 outstanding Ukrainian youth, ages 15–18, selected from across Ukraine to lead and advise KKU leadership, support program design, and represent youth voice internationally.
YAT members will serve as:
● Advisors to KKU staff and program leaders
● Ambassadors for youth entrepreneurship and hope in Ukraine
● Peer leaders shaping the future of KKU programs
This is a premier leadership and learning opportunity

Role & Responsibilities
Youth Advisory Team members will contribute in three primary ways:

  1. Youth Voice & Program Advising
    ● Share lived experiences and ideas to improve KKU programs
    ● Provide feedback on old and new initiatives while serving as leaders of the youth program
    ● Participate in monthly virtual advisory zooms
  2. Ambassadorship & Representation
    ● Represent KKU youth voice in select events, digital campaigns, and partner conversations
    ● Support storytelling through social media, short reflections, or youth panels
    ● Act as peer role models within their communities
  3. Leadership & Skill Development
    ● Engage in personal development, leadership, entrepreneurship, and communication training
    ● Develop confidence in English practice, public speaking, and teamwork
    ● Build relationships with youth across Ukraine and international mentors

    Eligibility Requirements

    Applicants must:
    ● Be 15–18 years old at time of application and live in Ukraine (exception for outside country studies) with a B1+ english level
    ● Have participated in or shown strong interest in themes of youth development, cross cultural exchange, entrepreneurship, leadership, or community engagement
    ● Be able to commit to virtual meetings and collaborative work. You will serve as a voice and a true voice to the program
    ● Be willing to uphold KKU’s values of respect, inclusion, and integrity

    Time Commitment
    ● Term: February 2026 – January 2027
    ● Meetings:
    ○ Monthly 90 minute zooms
    ○ Optional ad-hoc meetings for specific projects and personal development
    ● Flexibility: KKU understands school, exams, and personal circumstances, participation is designed to be supportive, not overwhelming

    Selection Process
    The selection process is designed to be accessible, fair, and youth-friendly.

    Application Components
    ● Short online application
    ● Brief written or video responses (no long essays required)
    ● Focus on motivation, ideas, and commitment—not perfection

    ● Commitment to youth empowerment in Ukraine
    ● Diversity of regions, backgrounds, and experiences
