Connecting Youth Across Borders
War creates challenges for young people. We create solutions. KidsKonnectUkraine fosters kid-to-kid, peer-to-peer connections that go beyond politics and borders. Our initiative gives Ukrainian, American, and international youth a platform to share their voices, perspectives, and experiences in ways that are authentic, relevant, and impactful.
Through our programs, students engage in:
- Real Conversations: Interactive Zoom meet-ups where teens discuss topics that matter.
- Content Creation: Short videos, blogs, podcasts, and social media campaigns designed and produced by students.
- Global Campaigns & Challenges: TikTok challenges, meme campaigns, and contests that inspire creativity, engagement, and fun!
- On & Offline Storytelling: We ensure content reaches low/no Internet areas, making voices heard even in the most challenging circumstances.
- Digital Collaboration: Participation in a Slack channel for ongoing dialogue and topic-based chats.
- Student Ambassadors: To drive this mission forward, we invite passionate students to become Student Ambassadors who inspire, connect, and amplify the voices of their peers.
Inspiring Leadership & Cultural Preservation
Our program encourages young people to share what is important, relevant, and trending with their global peers while expanding U.S. students’ understanding of world affairs in a way that is engaging and appropriate for youth. At the same time, we establish a creative outlet for preserving and amplifying Ukrainian youth culture and identity.
By creating empathetic connections between Ukrainian youth, American students, and young people worldwide, we create a meaningful cross-cultural exchange. KidsKonnectUkraine serves as a concrete example of youth leadership in action, demonstrating how Ukrainian, American, and international teens are stepping up to become the future leaders of their nations.
