Last week, young founders at Venture Camp Ukraine had the chance to learn from one of the best in the world of leadership and storytelling: Rani Mani. Her message hit home for every startup in the room.
“As founders, you can’t be shy—you’re fighting for space, for recognition, and for the chance to show what you bring right now.”
But Rani also reminded us of something deeper: kindness is a competitive advantage.

Rani reminded everyone that with 8 billion people on the planet, clarity, heart, and authenticity are what make you memorable. Your story—what you’ve endured, what you are doing, and what you will do—is your brand.
In a country facing extraordinary challenges, these founders are choosing to lead with courage, creativity, and kindness. And that truly sets them apart.
