I traveled alone from Washington, DC to Ukraine. During the War.
Not as a tourist. Not as an observer.
But to listen, build programming & stand in solidarity.
Over the past week, I met with nearly 500 young people, local governments and NGOs. Students continuing their education in the shadow of war, yet still choosing hope, leadership, and connection.
Through my work with KidsKonnectUkraine.org and as Founder of LocalHandsGlobalHeart.org Foundation, I’ve had the opportunity with amazing partners to help create spaces where youth can engage in dialogue and build relationships + projects that transcend borders.
What struck me most wasn’t destruction or 4:30AM Air Raid Alarm, it was the resilience and planning for the future.
Young people who study through air raid sirens.
Who plan for their futures while living in uncertainty.
Who still believe in the power of global connection.
